PRO Needle Tool- PRO

This is our heaviest needle tool. The large sharp needle is firmly set in an aluminum handle which is finely textured to provide a firm grip for wet hands. The Pro Tool may be used to cut heavy clay strips, to cut designs in clay, and to put holes in salt shakers. 6-5/8" long.

Clean Up Tool- K23

Although cleanup tools have many uses, they are primarily used to "clean up" slip-cast greenware by removing imperfections (seam lines and mold marks) and enhancing and sharpening cast-in details. Kemper Cleanup Tools present a variety of shapes and sizes of blades to accommodate the ordinary as well as the intricate cleanup job. All blades are made from high quality stainless steel with double edge keenly sharpened cutting edges.

Cut-Out Tool- COR-COH

These tools are used to cut through wet clay to make cut-out designs and openings in slab clay and clay vessels. The COR has a thin double-edged steel blade for thin-wall greenware and delicate work and is 4 1/2" long. The COH has a heavier, sharp triangular stainless steel blade that is designed for heavy, thick-wall greenware and pottery and is 5 3/4" long.

Fettling Knives- F96-F97

Used to trim pour hole waste, remove mold masks, carve and sculpt ceramics and greenware. F97 has a hard tempered steel blade with the same "springy" feel as most conventional blades. The F96 is a softer steel blade, with much more flexibility which it to bend. Both blades are 4" long and firmly set in a hardwood handle for a total length of 8".

Hole Cutters- HC1-HC4

Wire Loop Sgraffito- WLS

The small wire loops on each end of this tool provide a method of sgraffito in which variations of line width can be made within a single stroke. The furrow created by the loops is smooth and does not exhibit the flakiness usually associated with other sgraffito methods.

The Clay Lift Set has two double-ended tools with sharpened stainless steel spoons contoured for easy insertion, lifting, and removal from moist clay. Instructions are also included with each set.
