Switch
Controls. AMACOŽ top loading kilns are
available with infinite control switches or the
Select Fire automatic kiln controller. See page
B for a list of Select Fire features. The
Select Fire models (except HF-105SF 1Ř) come
with a 50 amp power cord and a NEMA 6-50 or
15-50 plug for convenient power connection
without the need for direct wiring.
Choose from 3 Top Loaders. The HF-105 is
for large volume production while the HF-97 and
101 meet small to medium sized requirements.
With a maximum temperature of Cone 8 (2320°F,
1271°C), these kilns are ideal for firing
stoneware and porcelain.
Sturdy Construction. The exteriors of
these kilns are welded steel finished in heat
and rust resistant ebony and silver-gray with
high-fire refractory and high temperature
insulation. The lid rests on a ceramic fiber
rope for a perfect seal and has a special vent
for greater circulation of air. Well built to
insure low cost firing, the firing time of these
kilns varies from 5 to 8 hours depending upon
size, firing speed, load and voltage.
Elements. Strongest, longest-lasting 14
gauge kanthal A-1 element wire fit into deeply
recessed grooves in the firing chamber walls,
and can be removed easily.
Firing Chamber Sizes. HF-97: 18"w x 18"d
x 18"h; HF-101: 18"w x 18"d" x 27"h; HF-105:

High Temperature Front Loading Electronic Kilns |
|
UL and
CSA Listed. AMACOŽ High Temperature Front-
Loading Kilns are dependable, efficient firing
equipment, well known for easy operation,
recommended for classroom and studio
installation, and time-tested for almost half a
century. Available with the Select Fire
automatic kiln controller or infinite control
switches, they have a maximum temperature of
2350°F (1288°C), they are ideally suited for
stoneware and porcelain firing, for lower
temperature firing of earthenware and overglaze
decoration, and for glass slumping.
Sturdy Construction. The refractory
backed, steel firing chamber doors fit snugly,
swing out of the way for easy stacking, and can
be lifted off the hinges. Kiln bases are handy
storage cabinets. High fire refractory of firing
chambers is backed with thick walls of
block-type insulation to seal in the intense
heat and keep exterior heat radiation to a
minimum.
Elements, Switch Controls. High
temperature, long-life, high-quality Kanthal A-1
wire elements are used in both the AH-10 and 30.
The AH-30 was redesigned in 1999, eliminating
the 21 element holders. The elements are now
housed within the firebrick itself. With less
stress on the firebrick, the refractory is
expected to last much longer.
Firing Chamber Sizes. AH-10: 15"w x 21"d x 18"h;
AH-30: 20"w x 20"d x 36"h.

Kiln-Sitter |
|
UL
Listed. A recommended safety feature, the
Kiln-Sitter is a mechanical type kiln
cut-off device. A junior size cone mounted
horizontally activates the electrical switch
and turns the kiln off automatically.
The Kiln-Sitter also includes a Limit Timer
-- a clock dial which can be set for a
specified number of hours. It functions as
an added safety factor to prevent
overfiring. Detailed installation and
operating instructions are supplied with
each instrument.
To ensure receipt of proper model when
ordering, please specify wall depth of kiln
(including brick, insulation, outside
metal), trade name, model no., voltage,
phase and amperage.
Each Kiln-Sitter requires a wiring kit to
connect it to the kiln fuse box when adding
to a kiln for the first time. NOTE: When
replacing an existing Kiln-Sitter, a new
wiring kit may not be necessary. |
